I just don't know anymore.
Tumblr used to be unique. Just a year ago I was the only one that had it, that I know of, in my group of friends. You could post whatever you want and not be scared of being judged or bullied. I mentioned Tumblr to one friend, then BAM they went and told everyone about it, then before I knew it, so many people that know me were following me. Now it’s filled with people who reblog identical things - Justin Bieber, “Hipsters”, Vans, Girls that take photos of themselves in bikinis on their ipod or webcam and get thousands of notes.
I remember when Van’s were unique and no one knew what they were, just like Tumblr, It was like a secret society that hardly anyone knew about but yet has millions of members. A year ago my blog style was so much different to what it is now, I’m one of those people that don’t care of what people think of me, but I also am scared that I won’t be accepted in todays society. I guess that why, you could call it “blogging to impress”. I’m not saying you can’t post what you want, that’s what tumblr is all about expressing yourself, but it’s just hard for some people, like me now, to post what i’m feeling or whatever because too many people know me in real life that follow me. Some people are lucky they kept it quiet, they have freedom.
Ever since Tumblr became mainstream, and you knew in real life most the people that follow you, alot of shit has gone down. I know of many fights that have started because of something that one girl posted on here and everyone judged her.
It’s so hard to be yourself in this world. I’m not sure if it was my mistake that i spoke of tumblr to one person or that it just got publicly advertised. But everyone just keep in mind Rule number 1 in the Tumblr bible:
# Never speak of Tumblr, outside of Tumblr.
Take IQ Test
